The Advisory Council of the Swiss Young Academy consists of 8-14 people and is the interface with the individual Academies and centres of excellence. It is elected by the Board of directors of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences for 4 years. The Academies and centres of excellence of the Association are each represented with one seat on the Advisory Council. The other members of the Advisory Council are people from various institutions that have points of contact with young scientists. The Advisory Council supports the members of the Young Academy in their personal and joint projects. The members of the Advisory Council are, in their role, be part of an emerging mentoring programme.
